I chose this hotel for attending a session and I was impressed with the smoke-free environment and the bar/lounge. The meeting room was well-equipped for my business needs.
I wish there was a 24-hour business center available for guests.

The elegance of the design, modern yet cozy, the spacious rooms, the cleanliness, the service/people, the breakfast buffet is excellent and the food at the restaurant as well
The smell of the kitchen goes into the bedrooms, as the kitchen is like an 'open' space.

Food / restaurant is very nice, friendly receptionist
No bar, no sofa or confortable chair anywhere, personnel gone after 11pm and hotel looked, no chance to get out...

I chose this hotel for attending a council as it provides a smoke-free environment and has a bar/lounge and a meeting room. The hotel also offers the possibility to organize wedding ceremonies, family festivities, as well as business meetings or dinners. The modern conference equipment provided by the hotel was very useful for my work requirements.
I would have appreciated a dedicated business center or workspace in the hotel, as it would have been more convenient for my work purposes.

I had a great day in Köln and Villa Sophienhohe was the perfect hotel for my stay. It was just a 25-minute ride on the S-bahn, which only cost 5 euros. The hotel is conveniently located near the station and trains run every 20 minutes. The breakfast was really good and the terrace was a pleasant place to enjoy a coffee. I stayed in a comfort room in the coach house building and it was huge! It had a nice sitting area and a kitchenette with a fridge. The hotel is also dog-friendly, which was a big plus for me. The staff even allowed me to bring my dog to the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. They also went out of their way to accommodate my daughter's dietary needs by preparing a special meal for her. The hotel's location in its own woods was perfect for walking the dog and it was easy to access from the motorway. it was a lovely hotel with great service.
I recommend this hotel.

The Schauküche restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience with its fresh Mediterranean cuisine. The dishes are prepared right in front of you, giving it a touch of showmanship that adds to the enjoyment of the meal.
Insects in the room.

We had a lovely weekend at this hotel surrounded by beautiful woods. the spacious rooms were clean and tidy. We enjoyed walking our dog in the countryside around the hotel. the breakfast was delightful.
The hotel lacked some basic amenities such as a kettle or coffee maker in the room which made it difficult for us to have a hot drink late at night or early in the morning. we found it disappointing that there was no restaurant or bar on the premises, meaning we had to venture out to find food in the evening.

As a senior traveler, I truly appreciated the elegant ambiance and decor of the Villa Sophienhohe. The Wilhelminian style and charming details in the decoration made me feel like I was transported to a bygone era. It was a joy to relax in the well-maintained general areas, such as the terrace, and enjoy the view of the beautiful garden with its lovely fountain. The hotel's accessibility for senior people was commendable, with convenient facilities and easy navigation throughout the property.
The only improvement I would suggest for a better vacation experience for senior travelers would be to provide clearer communication from the young staff members. As they were very kind and helpful, sometimes their eagerness resulted in early morning interruptions, like when the cleaner knocked on our door at 9am on a German bank holiday.

The hotel is situated in a securely fenced area right opposite a rubbish dump, but it's quiet due to the location away from the city center. the breakfast is plentiful with cold meat and eggs, and the staff is friendly. the TV, phone, and free WiFi in the rooms add to the convenience.
The room lacks a warm and homely ambiance which makes you feel more at ease and comfortable.

We recently stayed at a charming countryside hotel for a romantic escape. The restaurant's food consisted of local products, and the chef managed to prepare delicious and authentic dishes. we had a massive room with a high ceiling and an enormous bathroom that increased our comfort level. The location of the hotel positioned us in a picturesque and tranquil environment that ensured a relaxing break.
The breakfast menu lacked international options, which was a bit disappointing. the staff could have been more customer-oriented and understanding of our needs.

I recently had a wonderful stay at a lovely villa in the countryside. the villa has been lovingly restored and offers a peaceful and beautiful location surrounded by nature. I stayed in one of the adjacent guest rooms, which had a spacious layout and a lovely rural view. the room and bathroom were both very spacious and comfortable. the dinner and breakfast at the villa were superb, with a great variety of delicious dishes. What made my stay even better was that the villa is pet-friendly, so I was able to bring my beloved pets along with me. They even had a designated area for walks around the property. it was a perfect spot for a romantic getaway to relax and enjoy. Cons: Don't have any issues at all. 😊.
